000 TTAA00 KALB 031858 RRA SVRALB NYC001-095-032000- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 300 PM EDT THU JUL 3 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY NY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN EAST NEW YORK ...ALBANY COUNTY...EASTERN SCHOHARIE COUNTY AT 300 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST SOUTH OF MIDDLEBURGH. THIS STORM IS MOVING EAST ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE NEAR - MIDDLEBURGH AT 305 PM. 5 MILES NORTH OF RENSSELAERVILLE AT 310 PM. 5 MILES NORTH OF WESTERLO AT 315 PM. CLARKSVILLE AT 325 PM. 5 MILES SOUTH OF DELMAR AT 335 PM. THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
