000 TTAA00 KALB 031849 RRA SVRALB NYC115-031945- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 250 PM EDT THU JUL 3 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY NY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 345 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH NEW YORK ...NORTHERN WASHINGTON COUNTY AT 250 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF FORT ANN. THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST ABOUT 30 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE NEAR - FORT ANN AT 250 PM. 5 MILES SOUTH OF WHITEHALL AT 310 PM. NEAR HAMPTON AT 315 PM. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
