000 TTAA00 KALB 031802 RRA SVRALB NYC095-031900- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBANY NY 203 PM EDT THU JUL 3 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY NY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EASTERN NEW YORK ...SCHOHARIE COUNTY AT 203 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 5 MILES EAST OF SCHENEVUS. THIS STORM IS MOVING EAST ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE NEAR - SUMMIT AT 215 PM. 5 MILES SOUTH OF MIDDLEBURGH AT 235 PM. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL. TAKE COVER NOW. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
