FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO
 
   ...BERNALILLO COUNTY...EASTERN SOCORRO COUNTY
   ...VALENCIA COUNTY
 
AT 950 PM MDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN ACROSS BERNALILLO AND VALENCIA COUNTIES INTO
THE NORTHERN MANZANO MOUNTAINS.  RADAR IS INDICATING RAINFALL RATES
OF ONE TO TWO INCHES AN HOUR.
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE RECEIVED 0.44 IN 40 MINUTES.
 
BOTH LOCALIZED AND DISTANT HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CREATE DANGEROUS
FLOWS IN ARROYOS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
DRIVE THROUGH THESE WATERS. WATER IN ARROYOS MAY TRAVEL MANY MILES
AND TAKE HOURS TO REACH YOUR LOCATION FROM UPSTJREAM RAIN AREAS.
