SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING UNTIL 9 PM AND A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO
 
   ...TORRANCE COUNTY
 
AT 800 PM MDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 8 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF MORIARTY. A SECOND STORM WAS LOCATED 8 MILES
EAST OF WILLARD. BOTH STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTH FROM 10 TO
15 MILES AN HOUR.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
