FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 PM EDT

ALTHOUGH THE HEAVY RAIN HAS MOVED SOUTH OF RANDOLPH COUNTY...FLOODING
CONTINUES ALONG SEVERAL STREAMS. LEADING CREEK CONTINUES TO OVERFLOW
FROM MONTROSE DOWNSTREAM THROUGH KARENS AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE CITY
OF ELKINS. DRY FORK WAS ALSO REPORTED OUT OF ITS BANKS.
 
THE MIDDLE FORK RIVER IN EXTREME WESTERN RANDOLPH COUNTY WAS
OVERFLOWING.
 
RAINFALL OF 5.3 INCHES IN THE LAST 24 HOURS WAS REPORTED BY AN OBSERVER
NEAR MONTROSE IN NORTHERN RANDOLPH COUNTY. ALSO...AUTOMATED RAIN GAGES
IN RANDOLPH COUNTY HAVE RECORDED 2 TO NEAR 5 INCHES IN THE LAST 24 TO 30
HOURS.
 
RUNOFF FROM THIS HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE SMALL STREAM
FLOODING FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED xQUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUD SLIDES.
