000 TTAA00 KSAT 010109 SVRSAT TXC019-010215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 807 PM CDT FRI MAY 31 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...EASTERN BANDERA COUNTY AT 803 PM CDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN SOUTHERN BANDERA COUNTY ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF BANDERA MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. THIS STORM WILL CROSS THE BANDERA AND PIPE CREEK AREAS BY 830 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES... SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN INJURE ANYONE CAUGHT OUTSIDE.
