IN CENTRAL KANSAS ...SOUTHEASTERN DICKINSON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS ...NORTHERN MORRIS COUNTY AT 655 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL LOCATED 20 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ABILENE...OR JUST NORTH OF HERINGTON. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH...AND THE TOWNS OF HERINGTON...LATIMER...WHITE CITY...AND PARKERVILLE ARE IN THE DIRECT PATH OF THE STORM. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE DAMAGING HAIL. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
