000 TTAA00 KSGF 181625 SVRSGF MOC203-181700- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 1123 AM CDT THU MAY 18 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL NOON CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI ...SHANNON COUNTY AT 1120 AM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM 3 MILES NORTHEAST OF LICKING TO NEAR WILLOW SPRINGS. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL AFFECT THE TOWNS OF ALLEY SPRINGS AND AKERS BY 1140 AM...AND EMINENCE AND OWLS BEND BY 1150 AM. THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL...AND WIND GUSTS OVER 60 MPH. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING.
