000 TTAA00 KSGF 181348 SVRSGF MOC077-181430- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 847 AM CDT THU MAY 18 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI ...EASTERN GREENE COUNTY AT 845 AM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR THREE MILES SOUTHWEST OF SPRINGFIELD. THIS STORM WILL AFFECT THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF SPRINGFIELD THROUGH 9 AM...AND WILL BE LOCATED NEAR STRAFFORD BY 915 AM. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.
