000 TTAA00 KSGF 181554 SVRSGF MOC091-215-181630- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 1053 AM CDT THU MAY 18 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI ...HOWELL COUNTY...TEXAS COUNTY AT 1050 AM CDT...A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS INDICATED BY RADAR FROM ABOUT 4 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MOUNTAIN GROVE TO 12 MILES EAST OF GAINESVILLE NEAR CAULFIELD. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL AFFECT THE AREA FROM CABOOL TO SOUTH FORK BY 1110 AM AND THE AREA FROM HOUSTON TO WEST PLAINS BY 1120 AM. THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS OVER 60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERjY HEAVY RAIN.
