IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS ...UPTON COUNTY AT 555 PM CST...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY MIDLAND DOPPLER RADAR 15 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF RANKIN OR 2 MILES NORTHEAST OF MCCAMEY MOVING WEST AT 17 MPH. A QUICK LOOK AT THE 12Z ETA GRIDS SHOWS GOOD UPWARD FORCING WITH Q-VECTOR CONVERGENCE ACROSS THE BIG BEND BY 18Z. AS THE MAX UPWARD FORCING MOVES EASTWARD BY 00Z...ETA SUGGESTS FRONTOGENESIS JUST E OF P07 BY 00Z AND THE SOUTHEASTERN PORTION OF THE CWA RAPIDLY BECOMING CONVECTIVELY UNSTABLE.
