THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 510 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS

   ...UPTON COUNTY
 
AT 407 PM CST...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY MIDLAND
DOPPLER RADAR AND SPOTTER REPORTS IN THE VICINITY OF CRANE MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 23 MPH. THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN IN RURAL AREAS
AND PASS JUST NORTH OF HIGHWAY 329 IN UPTON COUNTY.

THIS STORM HAD PRODUCED GOLF BALL SIZED HAIL AT 405 PM REPORTED BY
THE CITY OF CRANE POLICE DEPARTMENT.  IF YOU ARE CAUGHT
OUTSIDE...SEEK REFUGE FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING.
DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING
ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM
WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
