FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...HOOD COUNTY...SOMERVELL COUNTY
 
AT 255 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED RAINFALL ESTIMATES
OF 2 TO 3 INCHES DURING THE LAST 3 HOURS OVER SOMERVELL COUNTY AND
SOUTHERN HOOD COUNTY.
 
ACCORDING TO SOMERVELL AND HOOD COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT...SOME LOW-LEVEL
WATER CROSSINGS WERE STARTING TO RISE AND WERE BECOMING UNPASSABLE.
ANOTHER 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE OVER THESE SAME AREAS
THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...FURTHER AGGRAVATING THIS FLOODING PROBLEM.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VXEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
