THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  930 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...FALLS COUNTY...FREESTONE COUNTY...LEON COUNTY
 
AT 638 AM...A BAND OF HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED
BETWEEN CENTERVILLE...FAIRFIELD...CORSICANA AND MARLIN. MOVEMENT WAS
NORTH AT 20 MPH. THESE STORMS ARE PRODUCING BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES OF
RAIN PER HOUR.
 
DUE TO THE ALREADY SATURATED GROUND FROM YESTERDAYS AND LAST NIGHTS
RAINS...ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING IN A VERY
SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
