000 TTAA00 KSAT 290817 FFWSAT TXC031-053-291015- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 314 AM CDT MON MAY 29 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...NORTHERN BLANCO COUNTY...SOUTHERN BURNET COUNTY AT 313 AM CDT STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED INTO SOUTHERN BURNET AND NORTHERN BLANCO COUNTIES. THE STORMS WERE LOCATED BETWEEN JOHNSON CITY AND MARBLE FALLS. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT HOURLY RAINFALL RATES OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WERE FALLING FROM THESE STORMS. THE STORMS WERE MOVING VERY LITTLE. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND OTHER PEOPLE IN RECREATION AREAS ALONG CREEKS...STREAMS...AND RIVERS IN THE WARNING AREA SHOULD MOVE TO HIGH GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
