000 TTAA00 KSAT 290717 FFWSAT TXC491-291015- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 215 AM CDT MON MAY 29 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...SOUTHERN WILLIAMSON COUNTY AT 205 AM CDT HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED TO FALL FROM THUNDERSTROMS STALLED OVER SOUTHERN WILLIAMSON COUNTY NEAR TAYLOR. DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT NEARLY 7 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN FROM THESE STORMS SINCE MIDNIGHT AND THESE STORMS CONTINUE TO SHOW HOURLY RAINFALL RATES OF 2 TO 3 INCHES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN TAYLOR IS EVACUATING RESIDENTS FROM LOW-LYING FLOOED AREA IN THE CITY OF TAYLOR. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROLADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS. &
