THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING     EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA
 
   ...NORTHERN CARVER COUNTY
 
AT 1015 AM...RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN WRIGHT COUNTY BETWEEN
COKATO AND DELANO ABOUT 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS. THIS
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE
HAIL...GOLF BALL TO BASEBALL SIZE.
 
THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH TOWARDS HOLLYWOOOD AND
WATERTOWN IN NORTHERN CARVER COUNTY. NORTHERN CARVER COUNTY WILL BE THE
PRIMARY AREA AFFECTED BY THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
 
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE ADVANCE WARNING
