000 TTAA00 KMSP 181428 SVRMSP MNC085-171-181525- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MINNEAPOLIS MN 927 AM CDT TUE JUN 18 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1025 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...MCLEOD COUNTY...WRIGHT COUNTY AT 920 PM...BASEBALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL JUST SOUTH OF LITCHFIELD...WHICH IS ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ST CLOUD. THERE WERE ALSO NUMEROUS REPORTS OF GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL AROUND THE LITCHFIELD AREA. THE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THIS LARGE HAIL WILL BE MOVING EAST AT 25 TO 30 MPH INTO WRIGHT AND AND MCLEOD COUNTIES TOWARDS THE TOWNS OF HUTCHINSON AND COKATO BETWEEN 930 AND 10 AM. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE ADVANCE WARNING JHM/BAP
