THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      BARTON

AT 432 PM CDT RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED 5 MILES
NORTH OF GREAT BEND.  THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT
20 MPH.  THE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE IN THE CLAFLIN AND ODIN AREAS
BY 500 PM CDT.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD GET INTO A REINFORCED SHELTER AND
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN AND
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.8  THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MAY PRODUCE LARGE
HAIL GREATER THAN 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER...DESTRUCTIVE WINDS OF OVER
60 MPH AND HEAVY RAINS WHICH MAY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS.

THE GREAT BEND AREA BY 415 PM.  THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.
