THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 215 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      BOONE...PLATTE...MADISON...PIERCE...COLFAX...STANTON...
      WAYNE...CUMING

A 1115 PM CDT RADAR AND SATELITE INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN ACROSS
MUCH OF NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.  AT NORFOLK NEARLY AN INCH OF RAIN
HAS FALLEN IN A HALF HOUR.  CREEKS ARE RAPIDLY RISING OUT OF THEIR
BANKS THROUGHOUT THE REGION.
MORE HEAVY RAIN IS MOVING IN FROM THE WEST...AND WILL BE MOVING
ACROSS NORTHEAST NEBRASKA AFTER THE CURRENT ROUND OF HEAVY RAIN
DECREASES.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOOD WATERS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
