THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      HARPER

AT 955 PM...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN WICHITA INDICATED
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 50 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WICHITA OR JUST TO THE
WEST OF ANTHONY...MOVING NORTH-NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

THE COMMUNITIES OF ATTICA...HARPER AND ANTHONY ARE IN THE PAST
OF THIS STORM.

 REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND DO OCCASIONALLY DO
PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. BE ON THE
LOOKOUT.

 THE HISTORY OF THESE STORMS...AS THEY PASSED THROUGH OKLAHOMA...

TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 231 IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF SOUTH CENTRAL
AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS UNTIL 1100 PM TONIGHT.

AT 530PM WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING JUST SOUTH
OF THE KANSAS BORDER IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA AND WERE 25 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF ARKANSAS CITY TO JUST SOUTHEAST OF COFFEYVILLE.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING NORTHEAST INTO EXTREME SOUTHERN
KANSAS BY 545PM.
