000 TTAA00 KSGF 080304 SVRSGF MOC011-039-057-080400- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 904 PM CST MON APR 7 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...BARTON...SOUTHERN CEDAR AND DADE AT 900 PM CST RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES SOUTH OF NEVADA MISSOURI. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES PER HOUR. THE CITIES OF LAMAR, GOLDEN CITY AND GREENFIELD ARE INCLUDED. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDESTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
