- Strong Wind in Wyoming, June 23, 2018A boat capsized around 3.5 miles southeast of the Buckboard Marina on Flaming Gorge reservoir around 1 pm after gusty winds developed and the water became choppy. The boat was swamped and eventually capsized. A 48 year old man drowned as a result.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Wyoming, December 11 to 12, 2018Strong winds mainly across the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming were howling with intensity through the 11th and 12th. Several Wyoming Department of Transportation sensors along both Interstate 80 and Interstate 25 had measured gusts into the upper 50s and low 60 mph range.
- Strong Wind in Wyoming, July 17, 2023A gust front from thunderstorms to the north pushed southward across Thermopolis WY. Around a dozen trees were downed in Thermopolis, including two that were uprooted. Some trees and branches fell and damaged power lines. Winds were estimated to be around 50 mph.
- Strong Wind in Wyoming, May 5, 2023A storm system moving through the region resulted in a landspout forming in southwest Wyoming.
