- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, December 17, 2016A combination of deep snowpack, long December nights, an Arctic airmass and light winds brought extreme cold to portions of western and central Wyoming. A station northeast of Dubois had a low temperature of -45 degrees.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in Wyoming, February 20 to 23, 2023Widespread snowfall occurred over much of southeast Wyoming on the 21st through the 23rd. Heaviest snowfall occurred over much of Carbon County in south-central Wyoming with blizzard conditions leading to an extended closure of Interstate 80 through the area.
- Extreme Cold and High Wind in Wyoming, January 10 to 16, 2024A period of strong wind gusts occurred across the southeast Wyoming wind corridors from the 11th through the 12th, in advance of an intense arctic cold front which swept across the region later in the day on the 12th.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Wyoming, December 20 to 23, 2022A powerful arctic front dropped southward across Wyoming and brought a period of snow and bitterly cold temperatures to much of western and central Wyoming.

- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Wyoming, February 11 to 15, 2021Snow and sub-zero temperatures blanketed southeastern Wyoming Valentine's Day weekend. Southern mountains and portions out in the high plains measured heavy snowfall coupled then with extreme sub-zero temperatures into the minus teens and twenties for many.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Wyoming, December 21 to 23, 2022An intense arctic cold front tracked rapidly from north to south across southeast Wyoming during the morning and afternoon hours on 12/21.
- Avalanche and Extreme Cold in Wyoming, October 28 to 31, 2019An arctic front dropped southward across Wyoming and brought in an unusually cold air mass. The result was many records were broken. The locations that saw monthly record low temperatures broken included Casper, Riverton and Lander, Wyoming.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Wyoming, March 1 to 3, 2019An arctic boundary with an upper level disturbance moved across the region that contributed to enhanced frontogenetic forcing and moisture advection to produce heavy snow and gusty winds followed by cold arctic air and wind chills below minus 30.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, January 20 to 21, 2025A strong arctic front brought prolonged frigid temepratures to southeast Wyoming Friday, January 17 through the early morning of Tuesday, January 21. The coldest temperatures occured Sunday night and Monday night.

- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, January 15 to 16, 2024Arctic moved into Wyoming behind a cold front and brought dangerously cold temperatures to much of western and central Wyoming.
- Winter Storm and Avalanche in Wyoming, February 11 to 14, 2021An arctic boundary slowly sagged southward across much of northern and central Wyoming and brought bitterly cold temperatures. Temperatures in northern Wyoming fell as low as minus 30.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, March 10, 2022A clear sky combined with an abnormally cold air mass and fresh snow cover to produce bitterly cold temperatures across much of western and central Wyoming. The most notable low temperature was 25 below zero at the Casper-Natrona County International Airport.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, January 29 to 31, 2023Arctic air mass settled into southeast Wyoming late in the month after much of the region received accumulating snowfall.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, April 3, 2020A combination of an unusually cold air mass, calm wind and fresh snow cover brought very cold temperatures to much of western and central Wyoming. Temperatures as low as 19 below occurred in Yellowstone Park.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, January 1, 2019A chilly start to the new year across southeastern Wyoming with cold overnight wind chills. Many locations had locations get down into the minus 30 and even minus 40.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, February 6 to 7, 2019With the recent passing of a low pressure trough, cold arctic air settled in across the region bringing wind chill values into the minus 30 and 40 degree range.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, March 4, 2019A rapidly, deepening arctic airmass descended across the region coupled with clear skies, fresh snow, and light winds to produce extreme cold and wind chill values into the minus 30 and 40 range.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, December 17 to 18, 2016Sustained winds of 15 to 30 mph combined with temperatures of -10 to -35 degrees produced lowest wind chill temperatures of -30 to -60 degrees across portions of southeast Wyoming.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, January 25 to 26, 2026A strong arctic front brought prolonged frigid temperatures to southeast Wyoming Sunday, January 25 through the morning of Monday, January 26. The coldest temperatures occurred Sunday night.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, December 14, 2008An arctic airmass combined with sufficient wind to produce very low wind chills across much of southeast Wyoming.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, February 4 to 6, 2014The combination of frigid temperatures and gusty winds produced very cold wind chills of 25 to 50 degrees below zero for much of southeast and south central Wyoming. Low temperatures ranged from 15 to 25 degrees below zero.
- Extreme Cold in Wyoming, January 12 to 15, 2024An arctic air mass settled over the region for several days, producing extreme and dangerous wind chills across northeast Wyoming. Temperatures remained below zero for 3 days, as low as 20 below to 35 below zero across much of the area on the mornings of the 13th and 14th.
