- Heat in New Jersey, July 4 to 6, 1999A very strong and oppressive high pressure system that extended from the surface to aloft gave New Jersey a brutal heat wave that included the entire Independence Day weekend. There were seventeen heat related deaths and around 100 reported heat related injuries.
- Heat in New Jersey, July 4 to 6, 1999An extremely hot and humid airmass covered the region from July 4th through July 6th.On Sunday July 4th, temperatures soared into the mid and upper 90s.
- Heat in New Jersey, August 1 to 3, 2006A strong area of high pressure anchored over the East Coast and the western Atlantic, resulted in a stretch of excessive heat for the entire region to start off August 2006.
- Heat in New Jersey, August 6 to 10, 2001A ridge of high pressure both surface and aloft that was broiling the central part of the country moved east and covered New Jersey during the work week of August 6th. This brought a very oppressive hot spell to the region that peaked on the 9th.
- Heat in New Jersey, July 18 to 19, 2005A hot and very humid air mass enveloped southern New Jersey on the 18th and 19th. High temperatures reached into the lower 90s, but dewpoint temperatures were in the mid 70s. The combination produced afternoon heat indices of between 100 and 105.

- Heat in New Jersey, June 23, 2015Unseasonably hot and humid weather occurred across southern New Jersey on the 23rd with high temperatures reaching into the lower to mid 90s and afternoon heat indices of around 100F.
- Heat in New Jersey, June 20, 1998Thirty persons in Camden that attended the Mellon Jazz Festival at the Wiggins Waterfront Park fainted in the 90-degree-heat. The high temperature at Philadelphia International Airport reached 92 degrees. It was the first 90 degree day in the month of June.
- Heat in New Jersey, July 12 to 19, 1997The longest and hottest heat wave of the summer of 1997 brought up to 8 straight days of high temperatures of 90 degrees or higher to interior sections of New Jersey and 6 straight days at and near the shore. It was the longest heat wave for central New Jersey since 1993.
- Heat in New Jersey, August 1 to 5, 2002The excessive heat that began on July 28th continued through August 5th. The combination of high temperatures in the 90s and high dew points produced heat indices of over 100 each day through the 5th. A cold frontal passage late in the day on the 5th ended the excessive heat.
- Heat in New Jersey, August 11 to 20, 2002The longest run of days with high temperatures of 90 or greater for the summer occurred across central and southern New Jersey from the 11th through the 20th. This was the longest heat wave for the state since the twelve day heat wave during the summer of 1999.
- Heat in New Jersey, July 16 to 19, 1999Another strong and oppressive ridge of high pressure gave New Jersey four days of oppressive heat and humidity and five straight days with high temperatures in the 90s. There were two heat related deaths, one in Middlesex County and one in Essex County.
- Heat in New Jersey, June 25 to 26, 1998A two day hot spell brought some of the highest temperatures of the summer to New Jersey and ended abruptly with a few severe thunderstorms in the southern half of the state during the late afternoon of the 26th. There were about 20 reported heat related problems in the state.
- Heat in New Jersey, May 29, 2012The first back-to-back 90 degree days in and around the Philadelphia area during 2012 occurred in late May. It resulted in one heat related death in Mercer County and precipitated the early dismissal of school children in Camden on Tuesday the 29th.
- Heat in New Jersey, July 28, 2016Hot temperatures and humid conditions resulted in 17 heat incidents during the PGA tournament in Springfield NJ.
- Heat in New Jersey, August 16 to 21, 2009A high pressure system off the eastern seaboard pumped in hotter and then more humid air into New Jersey during the week of August 16th. This gave the area its longest stretch of hot weather of the summer: 6 days.
- Heat in New Jersey, June 25 to 26, 1997The first hot spell of 1997 brought the hottest weather in two years to New Jersey. The highest temperatures reached near 100 degrees on the 25th.
- Heat in New Jersey, December 1 to 6, 2001A strong ridge of high pressure over the western Atlantic Ocean and adjacent parts of the United States brought unseasonably and record breaking warm weather from November 30th through December 6th in New Jersey.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, July 15 to 20, 2013The most oppressive hot spell of the summer season affected New Jersey from July 15th through the 20th. Widespread high temperatures reached into the mid to upper 90s and the most oppressive days (combination of heat and humidity) occurred on the 18th and 19th.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, June 8 to 9, 2011Unseasonably hot weather occurred on June 8th and 9th across New Jersey. High temperatures reached the mid to upper 90s both days, with some low 100s across southeastern New Jersey on the 9th.
- Heat and Heavy Rain in New Jersey, March 31, 2000In New Jersey, March 2000 was an unseasonably warm month and was also unseasonably wet across the southern third of the state. The rest of the state had near normal monthly precipitation.
- Heat in New Jersey, June 7 to 9, 1999A large high pressure system over the southeastern United States pumped in a hot and humid air mass across New Jersey. The hottest day was the 8th.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, June 20 to 22, 2012Unseasonably hot weather that started on the 20th in New Jersey, persisted into the 22nd across the southern third of the state resulted in high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and afternoon heat indices of around 100 degrees.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, July 19 to 20, 2015Unseasonably hot and humid weather affected most of New Jersey on the 19th and 20th. High temperatures in most areas reached into the lower to mid 90s both days. The 19th was slightly hotter and more humid overall.
- Heat in New Jersey, February 26 to 28, 1997A persistent west to southwest flow of air throughout the Eastern United States brought unseasonably warm air into New Jersey from the afternoon of February 26th through March 2nd.
