- Dust Storm and High Wind in Nevada, November 20, 2009A fast-moving storm brought widespread strong and damaging winds to western and west-central Nevada on November 20. There was also up to 3 inches of snowfall for portions of far western Nevada.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Nevada, January 18 to 22, 2010A series of four Pacific storms pounded the Mojave Desert and southern Great Basin between January 18th and 21st with heavy rain and snow (which led to river flooding), locally high winds, and isolated severe thunderstorms.

- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Nevada, April 2 to 3, 2010A winter storm dropped heavy snow in the Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range and also caused snow and ice covered roads across portions of Elko county.
- Winter Weather in Nevada, January 28, 2002Newspaper report of a 33 year old woman killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident. NHP reported she was travelling on US Highway 50 in a 1972 pickup. She was wearing her seatbelt and traveling at approximately 50-60 mph in a 65 mph zone.
- Winter Weather in Nevada, November 2 to 3, 2015A light snowfall (1 to 4 inches above 4800-5000 ft) fell on the 2nd and 3rd. The snow and cold contributed to a man's death in the Pine Nut Mountains on the 3rd.
- Flooding and Winter Weather in Nevada, January 7 to 12, 2017A strong atmospheric river brought heavy rain with widespread flooding on the 8th and 9th. There was a period of snow on the 7th, as well as freezing rain in some lower valleys into the morning of the 8th.

This brought gusty winds along with a moderate Sierra snowfall and a light snowfall for some lower elevations.
