- Wildfire in Mississippi, February 19 to 24, 2024Warm, dry, and breezy conditions across the Mid-South created favorable conditions for wildfires. A large wildfire occurred in Marshall County, north of Holly Springs.
- Wildfire in Mississippi, March 1 to 4, 2025Dry fuels, low relative humidities and gusty winds led to an elevated fire danger across north Mississippi in early March. A couple of large wildfires broke out and burned several hundred acres.
