- Tornadoes and Hail in Minnesota, June 17, 2010Conditions were ripe by the afternoon of the 17th for a major severe weather outbreak. A surface low had moved into east central North Dakota with an occluded front extending to the southeast.

South of the warm front, temperatures were in the mid to upper 80s with dew points in the lower 70s.

A frontal boundary held across the southwest part of the state, then northeast across east central Minnesota, and into portions of west central and northern Wisconsin.

Highs warmed into the low 90s over all of east central and southeast North Dakota, along with dew point values in the lower 70s.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Minnesota, August 11, 2023On August 11, 2023 an unstable air mass with ample deep layer shear supported numerous supercell thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. These storms produced widespread large hail, along with some damaging wind. A few reports were for greater than 2 inch hail.

Slightly after midnight CDT, July 8th, storms out ahead of the main bowing segment entered the Barnes/Griggs county area.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Minnesota, July 11, 2008An area of surface low pressure near Bismarck (ND) on the morning of the 11th moved to near Grand Forks (ND) by early afternoon, then moved to near Winnipeg in the evening. As it did so, a warm front lifted north ahead of the low and a cold front trailed behind the low.
