Twelve thousand acres of crop damage reported just north and east of the city, as reported by the Le Sueur Free Press. The County Emergency Manager reported most of the damage occurred in Tyron and Lexington townships. There was 100 percent loss to much of the corn, soybeans and small grain crops according to University of Minnesota Extension Agent Dave Pfarr. Reports of tennis ball (2.5 inch) and baseball size hail (2.75 inch) were described in the newspaper, but time and location were not given.
