- Flash Flooding and Lightning Strike in Indiana, June 6 to 7, 2008Massive and historic flash flooding struck central Indiana. The Great Flood of June 2008 was one of Indiana's costliest natural disasters. Major roads and interstates flooded. Heavy rainfall on May 30th allowed streams and rivers to rise.

- Lightning Strikes in Indiana, May 1, 2010Early morning thunderstorms moved across portions of northern Indiana. Lightning from the storms was responsible for a death of a young man in New Haven as well as a house fire in Geneva.

Storms raced eastward into southwest Lower Michigan and northern Indiana, prompting several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for winds up to 70+ mph and Tornado Warnings for embedded rotation along the line.
