- Winter Weather in Georgia, January 7 to 8, 2010A persistent Arctic air mass remained in place across the eastern half of the United States. A new mass of Arctic air was rapidly spreading south and east from the central Plains behind a cold front located moving southeast from the Arkalatex region.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 16 to 17, 2018A strong surface low and cold front associated with a large and deep upper-level trough, brought light to moderate snow to much of north and central Georgia from the afternoon of the January 16th through the morning of January 17th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Georgia, January 9 to 14, 2011One of the most significant winter storms to affect north and central Georgia in years, but especially north Georgia, began the evening of January 9th and continued throughout much of the following work week.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Georgia, February 12 to 13, 2010A full latitude trough was moving through the eastern United States. An associated area of surface low pressure was moving from the central into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. An Arctic air mass lingered across the eastern U.S.
- Tornadoes and Winter Storm in Georgia, January 2 to 3, 2022Showers and thunderstorms affected much of the area ahead of a strong storm system and associated cold front. Some of the storms became severe with damaging winds and a few tornadoes, mainly on January 2nd.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 22 to 23, 2016Very cold air remain entrenched across the southeastern states as a deep surface low developed in the lower Mississippi Valley and swept northeast across the southern Appalachians.
- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, February 16 to 17, 2015A strong cold front pushed through the state on the 14th spreading cold and dry air across North Georgia. A surface low developed over the lower Mississippi Valley on the 15th sweeping abundant mid-level moisture over the state as it moved across the southeastern U.S.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Georgia, March 1 to 2, 2009A vigorous closed upper-level low, with very cold temperatures aloft, continued to intensify as it moved rapidly southeast from the Midwest into the southeast U.S. from the evening of February 28th into the afternoon of March 1st.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 28 to 29, 2014The third winter storm to impact the NWS Tallahassee County warning area in five years brought a wintry mix of precipitation to virtually the entire forecast area. The predominant precipitation types were sleet and freezing rain.

Arctic air remained firmly entrenched across much of the central and eastern U.S., but was marginal across the southeast U.S.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Georgia, December 25 to 26, 2010A deep closed upper low was rotating through the eastern and southeastern U.S. from the 25th through the 26th. Ample Gulf moisture was present across the region in advance of the upper trough to support widespread light to moderate rain.
- Damaging Winds and Winter Weather in Georgia, February 15 to 16, 2016Cold air remained in place across northern Georgia north of a stationary front over central Georgia early in the morning on Monday, February 15th. A developing surface low over the lower Mississippi Valley swept northeast during the day spreading moisture north over the state.
- Winter Weather in Georgia, December 15 to 16, 2010A significant Arctic air mass, which had spread across the southeast U.S. beginning on the 12th, was retreating slowly northeast.

- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Georgia, January 16 to 17, 2022A powerful storm system brought wintry precipitation along with strong winds > 40 MPH across much of north Georgia late on the 15th and through the 16th of January.
- Winter Weather in Georgia, February 23 to 24, 1999A mixture of light rain and snow began over northwest Georgia by late morning on Feb 23, and gradually spread eastward during the afternoon. A winter weather advisory was issued for the counties along and north of a line from Polk to White counties.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Georgia, March 2, 2010A deep upper trough was moving from the mid-south into the southeast U.S. An accompanying strong low pressure system was tracking eastward through the eastern Gulf of Mexico toward Florida. Moderately cold air covered the eastern U.S., but the air mass was not of Arctic origin.

- Winter Weather in Georgia, February 6, 2006Light amounts of sleet and, in a few of the higher elevations, snow spread across the area. The bulk of the precipitation fell during the early morning hours between 4 am EST and 8 am EST.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, February 8, 2020A fast moving mid-level short wave swept through the region during the morning and early afternoon. With a fairly cold airmass in place over north Georgia and ample mid-level moisture, moderate to heavy snow quickly accumulated across a large portion of north Georgia.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 19, 2008A surface low pressure area was moving northeast through the eastern Gulf. A deep upper trough dominated the eastern United States. An arctic front was moving southeast from the Ohio Valley and western Tennessee Valley.
- Winter Weather in Georgia, January 1, 2001Arctic air was firmly entrenched across the southeastern U.S. on New Year's day. Temperatures in the teens and 20's were common across north and central Georgia during the morning. Temperatures remained below freezing most of the day.
