- Flash Flood in New Mexico, August 22, 2006A NWS trained spotter reported that five feet of water was flowing across some of the low water crossings in and around Hope. Also, minor street flooding occurred in Carlsbad.

Other bridges in the area (Highway 152) were covered with water and debris. Flood waters eventually led to the closure of Highway 187 just south of Caballo.
