The Montana Department of Transportation reported severe driving conditions on Interstate 90 west of Gold Creek towards Clinton on the night of February 14. Multiple crashes and slide-offs were reported, particularly west of Drummond, where a crash with unknown injuries occurred just before midnight on the 14th. Snowfall was generally light, with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches across the region.

Multiple reports on social media remarked that the roads became slick Friday evening the 14th. One person remarked that the roads became much worse after 1800MST. Snowfall totals ranged between 2 and 3 inches.

The Montana Department of Transportation reported severe driving conditions on Highway 200 between Potomac and Helmville, from 2100 to 2305MST on February 14. They also issued severe driving conditions on Interstate 90 between Clinton and Drummond for two hours starting at 2300MST on the 14th. Law enforcement reported several crashes and slide-offs east of Missoula on Interstate 90.

Multiple social media reports indicated that roads became very slick during the evening of the 14th. One individual noted that while at the ER, three or four separate people were being treated for serious injuries from vehicle accidents that evening. Another person stated, 'Highway 2 between Evergreen and Columbia Falls is pure ice.' Light snow, combined with northerly winds gusting up to 24 mph at times between the GPI Airport and Columbia Falls, contributed to deteriorating conditions. Snowfall totals included 4 to 5 inches in the Kalispell area and Mission Valley, 9.5 inches at Creston, and 6 inches near Bigfork.

Total snowfall ranged from 2 inches in West Glacier, to 5.4 inches in Essex, and up to 6 inches at both Swan Lake and Marias Pass. Easterly winds between 8 and 13 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph between Essex and Marias Pass, caused blowing and drifting snow.
