What happened

The episode as NWS LIX wrote it up.

Clusters of thunderstorms developed overnight along a stalled frontal boundary draped across Texas from the Permian Basin to southeastern Oklahoma on April 29th. This MCS steadily tracked southeast towards Louisiana, reaching southeast Louisiana in the morning hours of May first. A storm along the leading edge of the convection produced severe hail in East Feliciana.
