High-res model solutions still carrying isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms generally north of SUN, but a few weak cells may be possible across the southeast corner of the state, depending on some clearing allowing instability development into early afternoon. SUN still on the cusp of development with a roughly 5-15% chance, but better chances exist near/north of SNT. The cloud cover could also limit some of the mixing potential this afternoon, but will continue to maintain gust potential 15-20kts during peak heating. && .FIRE WEATHER... Issued at 144 PM MDT Sat Jul 26 2025 Isolated to widely scattered mainly dry thunderstorms are expected to develop today across zones 475, 476, and the northern portions of zone 422. A few of the storms may impact the far northern portions of zones 410 and 411. Gusty outflow winds 40-45 mph remain the main threat, and stronger storms may be able to produce brief heavy rain. Similar conditions are anticipated Sunday. Very dry humidities remain in place at the surface, and gusty winds are expected to produce near critical conditions at times during afternoon peak heating. Not much change is anticipated for early in the week with isolated thunderstorms remaining possible across the central mountains and along the Divide. Temperatures do warm slightly, and afternoon humidities are expected to range in the low teens and single digits for many areas. We could be seeing gusty conditions continue in the afternoon as well for near critical conditions. A deeper monsoonal push is still expected for mid-week and beyond, but models are still having a difficult time resolving how thunderstorms may develop across the region.
