Snow will spread across the higher terrain this afternoon and evening, with rain and snow spreading east across the eastern mountains and plains tonight. The heaviest snow tonight will be across the Pikes Peak region, with snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches possible, above 6000 feet. Further south and east, snow levels and snow amounts will vary, with the potential for a few inches of wet snow possible across northern portions of the southeast Plains, as well as along the Raton Mesa and southern I-25 Corridor. In addition, strong northerly winds will develop through the overnight hours across the southeast plains, with gusts of 60 to 70 mph through the day Tuesday. These strong winds will create hazardous travel conditions, especially across the Pikes Peak region into early Tuesday morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Damaging winds with gusts to 70 mph are expected from early Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening across our plains. Impacts from dangerous cross winds on west-east oriented roads, and degraded visibilities in blowing snow and/or blowing dust are expected across the plains on Tuesday, depending on timing and location. Dangerous travel conditions are expected across the Palmer Divide on Tuesday morning especially, where heaving blowing snow is expected to impact the morning commute. Another storm system will bring another round of unsettled weather across the region on Thursday and Friday, with a warming and drying trend expected into this coming weekend. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
