Lilac 2 brush fire along I-15 southbound burned 100 acres. Started at 1230 am. At 3 am relative humidity was as low as 6 percent and Santa Ana winds gusting to 24 mph. Evacuation orders issued for homes on the ridge.

The 7000 block of Friars road. Brush fire along hill and near buildings burned 20 acres. Humidity was a low as 5 percent with a dewpoint of -6F in the Fashion Valley area.

The Center fire on I-15 and Camino Del Norte. There was one injury reported. The brush fire was about 4 acres and on a hill near homes. Relative humidity as low as 9 to 12 percent.

Border 2 fire on Otay Mountain burned in Santa Ana wind of 35 to 45 mph with relative humidity 8 percent and as low as 3 to 5 percent at night. The wildfire burned 6,600 acres and was contained by January 30. There were evacuation orders and warnings issued near Otay Lake.
