Unseasonably hot afternoon temperatures reaching the mid to upper 90s, combined with unseasonably high humidity, resulted in heat index values in the 110 to 117 degree range across much of west central Arkansas on the 29th through the 30th.

Unseasonably hot afternoon temperatures reaching the mid to upper 90s, combined with unseasonably high humidity, resulted in heat index values in the 110 to 117 degree range across much of west central Arkansas on the 29th through the 30th. This heat wave persisted into early July.
