Showers and thunderstorms brought much needed rain in October before dry conditions returned late in the month through November. From October 26th through November 21st, less than an inch of precipitation fell across the region. On the 21st, the Drought Monitor upgraded much of Florence (all but the far west) and far northern Marinette counties into the Severe Drought (D2) category.

Showers and thunderstorms brought much needed rain in October before dry conditions returned late in the month through November. From October 26th through November 21st, less than an inch of precipitation fell across the region. On the 21st, the Drought Monitor upgraded much of Florence County (all but far west) into the Severe Drought (D2) category while the far west was classified Moderate Drought (D1). For the month, Florence only reported 0.69 inches of precipitation which was 1.16 inches below normal or 37% of normal.

Showers and thunderstorms brought much needed rain in October before dry conditions returned late in the month through November. From October 26th through November 21st, less than an inch of precipitation fell across the region. On the 21st, the Drought Monitor upgraded far northern Marinette County into the Severe Drought (D2) category. The remainder of the northern half of the county was classified in Moderate Drought (D1) while the southern half of the county was classified Abnormally Dry (D0). For the month, the nearby weather station in Iron Mountain, Michigan reported 0.54 inches of precipitation which was 1.36 inches below normal or 28% of normal.
