Northwest flow snow of 3 fell at Newfound Gap, Tennessee. This closed US Highway 441, a major road that bisects Great Smoky Mountains National Park for forty hours. Several other locations across the East Tennessee Mountains, generally above 3,000 feet, received light snow ranging from 0.5 inches to 2.5 inches.
