A strong low pressure system emerged from the southern U.S. into the Northeast resulting in mixed precipitation over western Massachusetts Wednesday (January 25th) into Thursday (January 26th). Mixed precipitation over the area resulted in school closures and slippery roads across parts of western Massachusetts.
