With ridging to the south and a stalled boundary to our north, the
weather story remains relatively unchanged. This means you could
nearly copy and past the forecast from yesterday for today. Highs in
the lower 90s, humidity values between 50-60%, and best rain chances
north of Tampa Bay and inland. A lucky few may receive between 0.25
to 0.50 inch of rainfall with the activity. Overnight lows will fall
into the lower 70s for most locations.
A stout ridge will remain in place to our south and a series of
troughs to the north mean the Florida Peninsula will remain in a
stagnant southwest flow pattern for the foreseeable future. Aside
from slightly drier air and slightly warmer temperatures next week,
the day to day forecast will remain very consistent through the
period. Afternoon highs through the beginning of the week will top
out in the lower 90s away from the immediate coast. By mid-week,
slightly above normal temperatures in the mid 90s look to impact
central Florida with lower 90s elsewhere.

Generally light westerly winds prevail across the area this
afternoon. A few showers and thunderstorms have developed near the
coast but will quickly move inland. VCTS for TPA till 20Z, then TSRA
for LAL later this afternoon/evening as activity moves inland. Light
and variable winds overnight with increasing SE winds on Sunday
morning.

Southwesterly flow will remain in place through the period with
relatively light winds expected. Seas over the next week look to
remain below 2 feet. The main weather concern will be overnight and
morning showers and isolated thunderstorms each day that will move
