A couple rounds of thunderstorms developed in the vicinity of an elongated area of low pressure during the evening of the 19th across central South Dakota, and then tracked north-northeast. Straight-line wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph were produced, including at three miles south of Bunker (70 mph), and five miles west-southwest of Mound City (70 mph).

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

An Excessive Heat Warning is now in place for today and Monday for
heat indices of 105 degrees or higher. A Heat Advisory remains in
place for today for heat indices of 100 degrees or higher.

A few strong thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and
evening across central South Dakota. Hail and gusty winds are the
main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected across the region late
Monday afternoon and evening. A few storms may be capable of
producing large hail and gusty winds.
