The spotter two miles south of Baraga measured a 34-hour lake effect snowfall total of 13.6 inches ending on the morning of the 20th.
Observer lake effect snowfall reports over a 24-hour period ending on the 19th included 7.4 inches at Twin Lakes, 6.1 inches at Quincy Hill and 5.6 inches at Painesdale.
The trained spotter four miles southeast of Big Bay measured 2.3 inches in four hours with 45 minutes of whiteout conditions at the start of the event.
The spotter near Peavy Falls estimated nearly three inches of snow fell in about a half an hour.
Social media reports over Alger County included 7.5 inches of lake effect snow in Au Train over approximately nine hours and 8.6 inches in Munising in less than 14 hours. There was a 90-minute period ending just after midnight on the 20th where five inches of snow fell in Munising. Northwest winds gusting to 40 to 45 mph accompanying the heavy snow also caused whiteout conditions at times, especially along Lake Superior. Several accidents were reported along M-28 between Au Train and Munising.
