The mid/upper-level low that brought thunderstorms across southeast Oklahoma yesterday has drifted into southeast Texas, shifting the more appreciable convection to the south. There is still a low chance some convection may approach far southeast Oklahoma, but any convection should be diurnally driven. As the mid-level ridge across the High Plains weakens and moves toward the Midwest, a mid-level weakness will develop across the Southern Plains. The remnants of this low is expected to move northward toward Oklahoma for Monday into Tuesday. The probability for showers/storms will be greater across the eastern half of Oklahoma with deeper, southerly flow and higher precipitable water values (~1.5-1.75"). High Plains convection may also affect at least northern Oklahoma beginning as early as Tuesday night into Wednesday. As stronger mid-level flow shifts slightly southward, remnant MCS(s), MCV(s), and/or boundaries will increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms for the second half of the week into the upcoming weekend. The greatest chance for convection will be across the northern half of Oklahoma.
