Strong to severe thunderstorms developed early in the afternoon across North-Central Montana as a shortwave trough moved through the area. There was moderate instability and adequate shear to support a few strong to severe thunderstorms, especially over the eastern Counties of the CWA.

There was moderate instability and adequate shear to support a few strong to severe thunderstorms, especially over the eastern Counties of the CWA. The Danvers area in Fergus County suffered the most significant impacts from these storms, with golf ball sized hail and crop damage being reported.
