Heavy snow was reported across the northern Sierra: 29 Alpine Ski Resort, 19 at Kirkwood Ski Resort, 14 at Sierra at Tahoe, 15 at Sugar Bowl. This caused travel delays and chain controls on mountain highways such as I80 and Highway 50.
