Intensifying low pressure across Quebec pushed a strong cold front across Vermont during the overnight of October 15th and early morning hours of October 16th. Strong west to northwest down slope winds of 40 to 50 mph caused scattered to numerous tree damage in the form of downed limbs and scattered tees down.

Strong west to northwest down slope winds of 40 to 50 mph caused scattered to numerous tree damage in the form of downed limbs and scattered tees down. This resulted in power outages in east-central and southeast Vermont...up to 10,000 outages.
