Snow melt water from the mid-April snowstorm brought the Big Sioux River in Codington county above flood stage on April 20th. The river rose above the 8 foot flood stage near Watertown to nearly 10 feet on April 22nd.

Snow melt water from the mid-April snowstorm brought the Big Sioux River in Codington county above flood stage on April 20th. The river rose above the 8 foot flood stage near Watertown to nearly 10 feet on April 22nd. The flooding continued into early May. Some agricultural land was flooded as a result.
